Monday 1st December at 8 pm via Zoom
A Course for Parents by Louise Selby
Session 1
In this session we’ll consider what the experience of dyslexia is like, not just for the child but for the parent. We’ll uncover some of the underlying processes involved, such as memory, phonological awareness and processing speed. What do these look like in practice? How can you support them? We’ll consider ideas on learning how to learn from the start of school, and we’ll finish by focusing on the positives and supporting self-esteem.
(Session 2 in January will cover literacy and exams.)
