Understanding our spelling and reading system. Ways to help children who find this difficult.

Rob is Head of the Psychology and Human Development Department at University College, London. His research interests are children’s early reading and spelling strategies. Some of his early research took place in Sutton with the Learning Support Team, looking at how to help children with literacy difficulties. He continued this work at a university in Canada and has many years of experience in finding the best methods for helping children to understand and use our reading system.
